Oceania in Antarctica, do you set foot on the continent?

Long and short of it all for travelers. A lot of fascinating things to see in Antarctica, but it’s not cheap to do so. If you do want to do it, you need a cruise line other than Oceania. 


If your only a cruiser, then on Oceania it’s just a string of sea days.

Absolutely. Ours was booked probably two years in advance through Gate 1 and included a couple of days in Buenos Aires, an escorted tour of Argentinian and Chilean Patagonia, then on to the ship for the Chilean fjords, Antarctica, Falklands, back up the west coast to Santiago for a couple of more days. You bet it was expensive but it was important enough to us to pay.
