qballer Posted January 14, 2021 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2021 We have 4 prior cruises on Oceania in Concierge verandas. May upgrade to PH1, would like to hear advice why or why not to upgrade.

GeorgesGal Posted January 14, 2021 #3 Share Posted January 14, 2021 There's no comparison, in my opinion, and as stated succinctly by LHT above. Go for it, especially one on deck 7 aft. Not anywhere near the executive lounge, but that wasn't a big deal to us.
Rare pinotlover Posted January 14, 2021 #4 Share Posted January 14, 2021 We actually prefer PH2 on deck 10. Our only PH1 on Marina, Deck 11, was the noisiest cabin we’ve ever had in any ship. Directly under Waves with people dragging chairs over our heads, sometimes starting as early as 5:30. Plus there is the issue, for us, of the overhang over the balcony that blocks the pan aroma. The PHs on Marina are great! Go for it if you can.
Kate-AHF Posted January 15, 2021 #5 Share Posted January 15, 2021 When we cruise, we tend to book B2B's for an extended time on board. We spent a month in a Concierge on Marina, the next year a month in a PH3. We won't be going back to a concierge again. Just the fact i could actually find things in the PH walk-in closet was enough to convince me. The extra space and the amenities really enhanced our experience. Rare ORV Posted January 15, 2021 #6 Share Posted January 15, 2021 If the money difference doesn't make any difference, then it's a no brainer to go with the PH.
qballer Posted January 18, 2021 Author #7 Share Posted January 18, 2021 Thanks everyone for the insight/advice. I'm booked on Marina in a PH2 for 26 day in Sept/Oct. Hopefully it goes off well. I was on Marina's last cruise in South America, It was extended 8 days due to Covid virus. Everyone had a great time.
