Summit Penthouse Deposit

I booked a 12 night Penthouse Suite on the Summit, via Celebrity's website.  The website asked for a $900. deposit.  When I called with a question on my booking, I was told that I had to pay another $900 in deposit, because of the class of room.  Strange the website didn't have me do this when I booked.  Anyone else have this issue?  TIA

Sailings in premium suites have been $900 per person.  Until recently our CVP has been able to get us a reduced deposit of $450 pp but she didn't even try on our last booking. I have one PH sailing with a $900 deposit but the other 2 are $1800.

It's another sign of how poor the website is.   The double deposit on premium suites has been policy for several years.  You would think they could update the site in that amount of time especially since it deals with $$$

 

It is documented on the guest invoice as being required but I've done several where I have only done regular deposit and nobody asked for more.
