RuthC Posted February 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2006 Thanks, but no thanks. It's one more thing to pack, and would probably scare me awake when I stepped into them!
kingclick Posted February 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2006 Well I am gonna pack me slippers.....I wonder how comfortable they are! Thanks!
I Luv Crusin Posted February 12, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted February 12, 2006 I thought of Jim when I posted this with his collection of slippers. :)
ger_77 Posted February 12, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2006 We've got to let Jim and Ruth know about these slippers - they can't have a pair like them in their collection already, can they??? I think they only collect novelty figure style slippers, but these might be novel enough that they'd want them! Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)
trubey Posted February 12, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2006 Now all I need is Automatic-Bright-Feet so I can find the slippers in the dark! susana.

They were shown on today's "I Want That" show on HGTV and I immediately thought of Jim but couldn't remember his name.
ger_77 Posted February 12, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 12, 2006 I just emailed Jim & Ruth and gave them the link - will have to see if they end up bringing a pair with them on their next cruise. I told him it would save them having to pack a flashlight (that might make extra room for either jewelery for Ruth or slippers for Jim!). Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)
ger_77 Posted February 14, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Slipper Update: Just received a response to my email from Jim - he's thrilled with the site and is planning on ordering "a few pair" tonight - he says thanks to us here on the HAL board for thinking about him. Why am I not surprised that he's not ordering just 1 pair???;) Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)
jhannah Posted February 14, 2006 #10 Share Posted February 14, 2006 I'm not a bit surprised, either! ;)
Grumpy1 Posted February 14, 2006 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Ahhhh, the perfect gift for the daughter-in-law that gave me the brown bear slippers that growl when you pinch an ear....
SeaDays Posted February 14, 2006 #12 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Hmmm... footwear with batteries. I would probably avoid wearing them through airport security.
RevNeal Posted February 14, 2006 #13 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Never stub a foot again in the dark. It's never that dark inside my inside cabin. :) I leave the TV on, set to the forward camera channel, and with the sound turned down. Even at night there's a slight TV glow that gives a bit of light in the cabin. Then, of course, the sun comes up and I have a beautiful window looking forward that no one can see in through. :)

I probably won't live the TV on because DH likes to sleep in the dark but I may turn it on first thing in the morning.
lka1012 Posted February 14, 2006 #15 Share Posted February 14, 2006 But what if I want to stub my foot and curse the darkness? Actually, I would love to chase the dogs around the house with those.
