RC ships with free steam rooms and saunas

I’m hoping to get an up to date list of the RC ships that still have the free steam rooms and saunas.  These are the single sex steam and saunas that are part of the men’s and women’s locker/changing rooms.

So as far as you know, do the following ships still have the free steam and saunas that are part of the locker rooms?
Adventure of the sea
Brilliance of the Seas
Explorer of the Seas
Grandeur of the Seas
Independence of the Seas
Jewel of the Seas
Mariner of the Seas
Radiance of the Seas
Rhapsody of the Seas
Serenade of the Seas
Vision of the Seas

I believe the following do not have the free steam and saunas as they were removed during amplification:
Enchantment of the Seas
Freedom of the Seas
Navigator of the Seas
Voyager of the Seas

And, I have no idea about the:
Liberty of the Seas, or any of the ships in the Quantum or Oasis classes

Thanks - husband loves to sauna and it is one of the “hooks” I can use to get him on a cruise!

Is this list still current?  Was looking at Liberty in December and would rather book on a ship that has steam rooms/saunas'.  Thank you.

I just got off of Liberty of the Seas on Sunday 9/18 and can confirm, there is still a free sauna and steam room in the men's locker room.  I believe Liberty is headed your way to Fort Lauderdale come November.  Also, as far as I'm aware, it's sister ship Independence of the Seas also has the same as that ship, along with Liberty, have not been "amped" yet.

Was booked on a TA on the Enchantment about 2 years ago, before I read this post and realized that she doesn't have any steam room facilities aboard.  So, I transferred my cruise over to the Jewel and am now a happy camper. April can't come soon enough  😂

We are on Liberty in March so hopefully they will still be there to use.

Again, this is simply not true. The misguided belief that everyone needs to be covered up is likely an North American one. In many regions around the world, being naked in a same-sex or co-ed sauna is the expected and hygienic norm. If uncomfortable being naked around others, look the other way or wear a towel.

Having lived in Europe (Germany) for 6 years and traveling a lot while there, I can tell you that nudity is not an issue there.  Community Sauna's, swiming pool facilities/activities, outdoor activities (beaches), and more filled with whole families, wearing nothing.  It's no big deal there.  Do I agree with that type of morality, that's not for me to say and definitely not for here.

I do disagree with the "hygienic" part of it though.  While living in Europe, I quite going to those public saunas after seeing a beached whale get up and that person left a racing stripe behind.  I'm sorry, I just don't think leaving unfiltered (regardless of how effective it is or not) undercarriage body fluids behind is "hygienic".  Sorry if that was TMI.  Just a fact!

Just got back from a triple back to back on the Enchantment and can confirm that there are no saunas in the spa are

Yeah, I've heard that too.  Actually had a cruise scheduled and transferred it to a ship that does have facilities.  We need to update our list again.  And Jim, FYI, I used to live in Olcott  LOL.  Bye's Popcorn, Van Horn Mansion.

Currently cruising on Liberty of the seas, and dry sauna and steam room are still here in single sex mode.

I was told however, that during the next AMP planned (2024 or 2025) the ship will (again) become "the same" as Independence and Freedom, with Izumi (no Sabor) and Playmaker Sports Bar next to the Casino (foto lab upsell will move elsewhere).

So if Independence and Freedom has "lost" the sauna, I guess Liberty will as well.

...but for now, it is still there in July 2023.

As far as I understand, of the Freedom class ships, only Freedom has had the nice locker rooms with free sauna/steam facilities removed so far. Independence and Liberty are both still intact. With any luck they will stay that way, as will the other ships that escaped the so-called amplification that destroyed the nice fitness facilities.

Navigator does still have a sauna.  It’s accessible via the spa.  And it’s very small.  The fitness center was moved to the aft of the ship.

On the independence right now, and it still has the nice lockerrooms with steam and sauna - single sex.

Since I'm from Denmark, I'm always naked in a sauna BUT sitting on a towel, so nothing is left behind (thinking about the post about a "racing stripe").  I was however the only one.  ALL Americans have at least trunks, but many also t-shirts and even socks and shoes.

Fine with me, I don't care.

I was reading this thread to find the answer to the following question: does the jewel of the seas sauna and steamroom have a relaxation room nearby that you can use after you went into the sauna or not. I went to the sauna last year on the Jewel but did not see a room like that: just the sauna, steamroom, showers and lockers. Did I miss the relaxation room, or is there none?

And after reading this thread I am confused: are you allowed to use the single-sex sauna naked or do you have to wear a swimsuit? Last year I wore my swimsuite because I thought I had to.

I can't answer about a relaxation room, but on Royal's ships, we've always gone naked, sitting on a towel, in same-sex-only steam rooms and saunas. It is not necessary to wear a swimsuit. It is required in the thermal suites, however, on ships that only have these mixed-sex facilities.

When I was on the Jewel in November, I took a spa tour. There is no "relaxation room" beyond the facilities that you describe.

The only area to cool after the sauna or steam room is the small benches outside of the them. I say they can handle about 4 persons at best or take a shower (three available in the men's room).

See @JsMom2 post # 37

Navigator moved the gym to the back of the ship.  But they put on a very small complimentary steam room. I believe I accessed through the women’s locker room.  So if so there should be one in the men’s as well.
