What can you spend your MSC onboard credit on? Casino? Shops? Tips?

Be welcome!...

Your shipboard credit will be used against your account to be used on pretty much everything sold aboard the ship and your daily gratuities. That means that till you reach that amount you won't pay anything. There are few exceptions: If you happen to visit the ships doctor, those expenses must to be paid upfront. I don't know how things are managed nowadays, but some years ago table games in the casino were an upfront pay as well even though that seems to have changed on my last cruises. If you set your account in cash or with certain European debit cards, purchases made from the last day's midnight onward must to be paid upfront as well.

Nuna ... For those from the UK and Ireland the daily service charge is included in the sail price so more to spend.

Oh, yes!... And MSC works differently by the market from where you're coming in!... I forgot it! For example: Here in Portugal you won't have the daily charge inside the baseline price (unless you're sailing from certain ports outside the EU zone, for example in the UAE), but from 2018 to date pretty much everyone has the basic beverage package (Easy) included in the base fare (unless you're part of a chartered group which is quite common here)... So if someone has any shipboard credit here, more places to spend it too...

Can I go to Guest Services and request a voucher (tip) for a specific employee like we do on NCL?

we go to  NCL guest services and give name of employee and amount. It is subtracted from our shipboard account and we give copy to employee at end of cruise.

Trying to figure how to use large OBC, wish it would carry over to second week of B2B.

It would be great if MSC allows that.  Staying in the Yacht Club does require lots of additional tipping.

To understand MSC's stance on tipping it is good to understand our usual Mediterranean stance on tipping as well. While tipping might to be welcome in certain areas (like Paris) or in certain business corners, by the most part, tipping here is not welcome unless as a way of cash rounding. Receiving a 19.75 EUR in cash you're expected to give 20.00 EUR bucks. That's it! So; while at the Caribbean sailings they might to accept it, otherwise I believe they won't accept. Of course you might to offer some cash to the ones you think deserves it, but I recommend you'd be quite discreet on doing that. Have a nice day!
