The application of the traffic light system has also not been agreed by the Scottish Government.  Our government requires all our arrivals quarantine to be in government managed facilities and in making statements today (finally we get to travel out of the county after months on Friday) the first minister made it clear our freedoms in the summer were at the price of there being continuing restrictions on foreign travel.

It's certainly encouraging, and the article makes it abundantly clear that the prospect of international cruising will continue to be assessed....and clearly that will be done in light of the success outcomes of the UK coastal cruises that many lines have planned, some from June and others July/August. The article is clear in that, and following is the relevant cut & paste:

'...the UK is remaining open-minded on resuming cruises. Once UK domestic cruises open, the task force will follow closely as it could impact when international cruising opens back up.'

We intend booking MSC Yacht Club for a 7 night UK cruise July or August, are upbeat at the prospect,

and have absolutely no concerns. Given the almost certain fact that International cruising from the UK will not commence anytime soon following May 17, the point correctly made that different UK nations currently are not aligned in regard to travel is moot....the situation by say July may be better, similar or worse. That is why it is nothing more than a framework at this stage.
