Was too cold for me to consider swimming or going anywhere without long johns, coat, gloves, etc. If you are a looking for a cruise where you can swim you should not be looking at Alaska. There might be a few people in the pools, freezing. Did not look to me they were enjoying themselves.

The weather in Alaska can be unpredictable. Swimsuits don't weigh much so I would bring one. You can always go in the spa if the pool is too cold. I saw people in the spa out on deck and there's also one in the gym.
