Hope this isn't a silly question., booked Alaska May 2/22....I understand the Miracle has a retractable roof over the pool ...do people swim in the pool or is it way too cold....

I went down the water slide. Cold but cool!

When we  went in August 2019, Alaska was having one of its warmest summers not only were people swimming the retractable roof was open.

Thank you so much for your reply...I had looked up the average temp in Alaska in May and low 40, high 55....and I thought Brrrrrrrrr....Yes (hopefully) will see you onboard..Can't wait....2 other cruises cancelled

Was too cold for me to consider swimming or going anywhere without long johns, coat, gloves, etc. If you are a looking for a cruise where you can swim you should not be looking at Alaska. There might be a few people in the pools, freezing. Did not look to me they were enjoying themselves.

The weather in Alaska can be unpredictable. Swimsuits don't weigh much so I would bring one. You can always go in the spa if the pool is too cold. I saw people in the spa out on deck and there's also one in the gym.

Never mind swimming. It is too cold to sit on your balcony for more than 5 minutes when the ship is moving.
