After three cancelled cruises, I finally have enough hope for my next cruise that I purchased my airline tickets. I have the free cheers plan and a $600 OBC. Woohoo! Plus, since my cruise is in August I am hopeful that it won't be filled at capacity. This should make for a very uncrowded cruise. For the first time in a year, I am actually excited about the reality that my cruise may happen. Well we are on a early Sept sailing out of Miami chances keep looking better. Get the crew all Vaccinated and lets get sailing 2
BossyKat Posted May 3, 2021 Author #27 Share Posted May 3, 2021 Like most, I've had 3 cruises cancelled. We are booked for the Panorama in October. Here's hoping! Also, next April.
evandbob Posted May 3, 2021 #28 Share Posted May 3, 2021 If Carnival sticks to its initial decision to allow anyone to board regardless of vax status, I'm in no hurry to cruise them again. I don't need to be with unvaxxed people. If Carnival wants to abide by the CDC's guideline of 95% pax vaxxed, as well as 98% of crew, then I'm fine and will make my final payment using old gift cards.. I've sailed Carnival over 40 times, so if I cancel my November sailing with them, it isn't a big deal for me. I'll just go on Celebrity (hopefully) in December for way less $$$ due to a casino offer - mid ship, mid deck Balcony, total fare $198 for 2 + taxes + port charges.

I used to get some great deals like that, until I stopped my casino over indulgences! They finally caught on (well, mostly)! Tom

Just log in and click Today's Deals at the top of the page. My understanding is that if you get the offer with the code RU1 or RU2, it's a pretty good deal, but the RU9 offer isn't as good for some reason. Big Big difference on the codes. I got a RU9 code. The difference between a regular booking and using the code is maybe 100 dollars per person less than booking the cruise and adding the Cheers package. Don’t see how they get away with calling that free!! My wife on the other hand received a RU1 code. Difference between adding your own Cheers to a regular booking of using the code is significant. Basically paid an extra 50 bucks per person to add the cheers package. Still not “free”, but I can live with it. And we’re booked for the Oct.16 Mardi Gras sailing with 600 OBC and a “free” Cheers package. And keeping fingers crossed because we have a cabin on the hump with an extended balcony that was about 30% less than the going rate for Mardi Gras now. Gonna be pissed if we get canceled because in effect it will wipe out our OBC because of the higher fare we’ll have to pay for a future cruise.
