Rare cruisingxpert Posted May 14, 2021 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2021 I remember hearing a few years ago that Barbados had an unusual amount of sargassum. I just saw this report to expect it this year http://www.loopnewsbarbados.com/content/locals-warned-expect-sargassum-invasion-year#:~:text=Residents across Barbados should expect,is creating discomfort for residents. Have you seen it yet and does it affect the Carlisle Bay area? Not arriving til end of November but wondering what to expect. FYI You are wonderful resource for information of Barbados. Would love to buy you a drink when we get there.

East Coast and South-East coast of the island take it on the chin and it's horribly disruptive! South-West Coast gets it a bit less, but still bloody-awful! Carlisle Bay gets a little, as some of it manages to round Needhams Point but a lot of it continues Westward to other 'lucky' islands in the Antillean island chain *big smile* You ask about November? LOL -Who knows whose nose? We'll let you know a few days before you leave.
