Long time cruiser...new to Celebrity.

Please explain casino point system (similar to Royal's?/how many pts for 'free cruise'/annual cruise benefit/etc).  I believe I've searched everywhere for this info - hopefully missed the obvious.

TIA.

Celebrity’s casino program is called “ Blue Chip Club “. There is a chart on line that sets out the tiers and benefits. But be aware the program is in flux.  I think the official chart is “ this page is not available “. On the other hand older web sites still have it.

Awesome, thanks.

FTR Royal's Club Royale is a better casino comps program and it's alot better with comped cruise offerings and the program itself is much more straightforward.

Had that impression while searching.  Have used Club Royale for years of 'free' cruises....trying Celebrity for the 95 percent reason.

Depending on how you feel about Carnival their casino program is excellent too and they're very generous with their comps. Furthermore they had special casino cruises quite often where there's special tournaments and such and many opportunities to win high value prizes such as iphones, and 65" TVs.

Do they smoke in the Carnival casinos?

Since we have a casino thread going...can anyone tell me if =X= still reciprocates with MGM?  We've enjoyed Platinum status at MGM properties due to our E+ tier on =X=.    Need to renew my platinum card if it's still a thing.

Yes, but no longer Tier Matching at Mlife Platinum Status. Highest is Gold.

Here's a link to What Carnival Calls their Elite Cruises.  It comes with all kinds of benefits including free Port Transfers, a free pre-arranged excursion hosted by the Casino Staff, free drinks EVERYWHERE on the ship for two people, priority boarding, cabin access, free WiFi, free gifts, Etc.

Really? When did that change? I got matched to Platinum in 2019 before Covid. It was supposed to expire but they kept extending it, right now through January 2022.

Yes, they kept on extending it, same with us. I think the change to Status tier match only up to Gold happened last year.

What happened to Sapphire Plus? Also, I thought the Retreat access was eliminated?

You're correct. That was on old chart that's still out there on the internet. Here's the latest one. Sorry about that.

I was on the inaugural Millennium cruise and specifically asked about the tier “ deadline “. Of course no update. I certainly agree you would have to be a big whale…whoops Ruby to be able to requailify by the end of the year. And why did a cruise line pick rocks to signify tiers. How about Sea horse, Sea cucumber, urchin, shark, octopus, whale etc. NO imagination!

What is theoretical?  “Earn eight tier points for every: $1 theoretical on table game”…

bob

Theoretical loss. For example, double-zero roulette has a house edge of 5.26%. So for every $100 you bet, your theoretical loss is $5.26 and you would earn 42 tier points. Compared to craps, with its 1.4% house edge which would net you 12 tier points per $100 bet.

So if sailings are restarting end of June, are they really only going to give people until Dec. 31st to earn status before wiping us out again?

Especially with only a few ships in operation...

I’m going to guess (hope) that they will do an extension one more time out through June of 2022. That will give basically a year since cruises have restarted although I know they usually do an 18 month earning period. So who knows, maybe they’ll extend it to end of 2022. That would be great if they did.
