  1. I'd hate it! Every time I heard a flush, I’d have to pee. Uh oh; be right back…
  2. Tried this- no two available. Good tip though, thx. Bob
  3. Hi all, I am taking a back to back on the Spirit from Hawaii to Tahiti; then back Tahiti to Hawaii. I have two different cabins (balcony). What is NCL’s procedure for this? Do I have to pack and the claim my baggage and then check-in with my bags as if I am taking my first cruise? Help! bob
  4. I had the 2br GS on Oasis. It was much bigger living room and we only used 2nd br for the bathroom (that sounds bad-lol. You know what i mean)
  5. Sorry, I’ve been on 2 MSC cruises and wouldn’t go back if it was free. Not going into detail; they’re not worth my time. There’s a reason(s) they are cheapest!
  6. Maybe Milan in lieu of Rome. Less crowded and airfare is usually $2-400 cheaper/pp. just a thought.
  7. Carnival is great! Where else can the passengers join in on main event wrestling and boxing?
  8. You are correct, except I’m not sure about the sun deck. From 4:30-7:30 on Harmony OTS you can get all drinks they serve in the lounge free (no frozen drinks available).
  9. On the Harmony. Had a medical emergency on way to St. Thomas. Went back for about 1 hour. Curious why they didn’t use helicopter as we do have a helipad. Seems like that would’ve been cheaper and more efficient.
  10. I am currently on the Harmony OTS on the 2nd leg of a b2b2s. I depart Aug 28th and drive to Ft. lauderdale for a same afternoon departure on the Allure OTS. I’ve tried to get a concrete process for testing for the Allure, but guest services are very vague. The agent says “take the test (they gave the box to me) and then tell us the results if it’s positive”. I asked if it needs to be witnessed; they said no. I asked what do I need to do to get a letter saying it’s negative for getting on the Allure as required. The agent says “the instructions are in the box”. I said the test is by Abbott Labs, not RCCL, so they won’t tell me how to get a letter stating the test results. Again she says the instructions are in the box (she was a “senior” agent). I then asked where I have to show the results. She says “only tell us if it’s positive, otherwise we’ll know it’s negative”. I said “what???” Can anyone who has gone through the process give me advice on what to do? I KNOW I will need a letter from RCCL to board the Allure. Thanks. bob
  11. Same here. Tested this am and it went great. Nurse was lovely. Had results in 10 minutes
  12. Lol. Thanks biker, I kind of suspected that!
  13. Which would be better: Surf and Stream for both occupants in the room ($288), or one occupant with 2 devices ($244). What am I missing? bob
  14. This is what I read in the RCCL policy: If you cancel a cruise booking due to you, or someone else in your Traveling Party, testing positive for COVID-19 within 10 days before embarkation, you, and anyone else in your Traveling Party who cancels, are eligible for a refund of the cruise fare paid to RCI. To qualify for a refund, if your COVID-19 test was administered by a provider other than one retained by RCI, you must present your verified positive test result in a form acceptable to RCI. • If you had a confirmed close contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19, or who is suspected of having COVID-19, within 10 days before embarkation and RCI deems you are unfit to travel, you are eligible for a refund of the cruise fare paid to RCI. To me this says you get a “refund”, not an FCC. What am I missing? bob
  15. We wouldn’t sail on MSC again if it was free. Horrible food (except pizza), horrible service and I’ve seen 3x better entertainment at high schools and community theaters (always the same people and props). But hey; that’s just us.
  16. We have the chase reserve. We get 3x for travel and restaurants. You get a travel credit each year of $300, so the card really only costs $250. You also get to redeem your rewards for travel and get a 50% bonus (5000 points = $75). If you book/prepay hotels through chase rewards, you get 10x points (when combined with the 50% bonus, equals 15% savings. i.e. $500 hotel gives you 5000 points. Use for travel and the points equate to 7500 points). If you book flights though chase, you get 5x points and use the same scenario above to redeem. One last tip: you only get 1% for all other purchases. So, you can use the chase freedom card for all other purchases and get 1 1/2% back. Then transfer those points to the chase reserve and get 50% bonus on the higher amount when used for travel (2.25% effectively).
