has anyone received an approval for vaccine exemption for Mardi Gras 8/28 yet?

We are booked on Mardi Gras 8/28/21 sailing. We have a party of 12 people in 3 cabins, 11 of us are vaccinated but we are waiting to hear from Carnival to see if my 11 year old daughter gets an exemption (not old enough to get the vaccine).

 

has anyone going on the same cruise received an approval/denial yet?

I’m on it. As far as I know nobody has heard. They’re expecting to hear in about two weeks.

Actually it looks like approvals are starting to go out today.

There is a thread on here with someone currently on the Horizon - he chatted with a family who got their exemptions (2 kiddos under 12) on Thursday, 7/29 for the Sunday 8/1 sailing.

It's my understanding that masks are encouraged for unvaccinated. . . but only required in certain areas. I could be wrong, though.
