Oasis Dining Question

Recommended Posts

We booked our cruise and there's a waiting list for open dining and early and late available. We've been cruising with NCL and always go for anytime dining. We've never been on a ship this large so I was wondering if Anytime dining becomes available and we take it is there a problem getting in or having to wait in line? Can you make reservations each day for dinner? On NCL they allow you to go to the MDR the same day and reserve seating for Anytime Dining. I'm also wondering if we'd be better off just doing assigned seating. Normally, we do eat early, 5pm, but vacation time is different if you're out on a shore excursion or even just eating lunch later. A lot of times we'd be coming back from a shore excursion and running into people going to dinner and we were glad we didn't have early dining.

Thanks for your help!

There is a lot of movement of dining times. Depending on your shore excursions or your day and the sunset. We find the early too early. When you are onboard, just find what sutable to you. There is no chance of you going hungry  . The staff are so accommodating for your needs . 😇

Yes, and for O class probably a good idea. Though if you eat early, fixed early seating may be better for you. Lately, the earliest MTD slot seems to be 6:30PM.

Early seating now usually has two times.  They use the MyTime dining room for early fixed seating, around 5:30 instead of 6:00, so this should be perfect for you.  We normally do MyTime and now get 6:30 dining but sometimes have to wait for the earlier folks to leave so we can sit at the same table with same waiters.  Have never had a problem getting a table for two.  With MyTime you can book dining reservations before the cruise.  With early or late you have an assigned time and table.

If you do take the early seating, which sounds like for the most part would be preferred... on the few days you may want to eat later, there are other complimentary venues you could eat dinner at...
