Your points:

you can choose any categories but only as guarantee.

The pricing was available on all cruises for example South America, Transatlantic, Trans-pacific, all Europe.

The Captains Club are now very aware of how the new system has impacted loyal passengers and especially those that don't drink. Solo passengers on many cruises are now paying for 2 drinks packages and 2 Internet ones.

Price difference:

Silhouette Transatlantic same cabin:

2019 = £207 per cabin per day Inc tips.

2021 = £379 per cabin per day with AI.

for Elite+: and above who don't drink alc this is 80% increase for no benefit.

Not booking is not the answer this system is under active review  - now is the time to make your views known.

Greetings to "the penguins."

We can tell that you are frustrated, because you know -- just as we do -- that you are 100% right, and the person who is disagreeing with you is 100% wrong.  If we recall correctly (from having read his/her posts over the last several months), your foe is quite new to Celebrity (2021 only)and really has no grasp of how much better, sensible, and fair the cruise line's fare system -- and its Captain's Club rewards -- were before the ludicrous invention of the (wrongly named) "Always Included" fares.

It is really so sad, isn't it, "the penguins"?  You and we know the truth fully, but it is hard to explain it to people whose minds are closed and are not even trying to understand your point of view and the factual evidence that you bring to light.  It is horrendous to realize that their only argument is that we should simply abandon Celebrity, rather than do our best to persuade them to revert to their former fairness.

It's a "cross" that we have to bear here at CruiseCritic -- running into people who operate on a different "wavelength" and who refuse to accept the truth and fight for justice.

At least now folks that are Elite and up will have the option of using some/all of their perks if they decide to choose the "Cruise Only" Guarantee option. 😎

this is true and it is a big plus.  .   I started seeing the "Cruise Only" option too with no frills.

Almost $20,000 for a suite guarantee on an 11 night cruise is a price that I personally would not pay for Hawaii.  Yes, supply and demand is always at play, but it will be interesting to see how all of this roll out going forward.  I have a b2b/TA in Europe on Apex that is not this pricy.
