MSC Divina Rear Facing Cabins

I’m booked in one on deck 10 for later this year & wondering as well.  It’s the end cabin 10254 & I can’t find any videos or pics of the open stair space next to it.  Wondering if this area gets crew hanging out to talk/smoke at all hours.

I am considering a MSC cruise in November. Has anyone booked the rear facing cabins? What was the experience like?

Thanks!

I my opinion most of the afts are lousy. Yes there are a few good ones but most are super tiny that you can barely fit the chair in sideways. The glass angles back. I have stayed in a couple on this ship. Last cabin I had was 13223. Also years ago if the seas were rough you would get water coming down from the pool. They fill it less now.

I saw a video that had that area shown on deck 12 of the divina, its around the 6min mark of the video

If given a choice, I would never choose aft on Deck 13.  However, Decks 10, 11 and 12 aft balconies are quite roomy.  The deck plan does illustrate accurate scale.

That’s great!  Thank you so much for sharing & pinpointing the spot in the video answering my query.  I really appreciate you.

Thanks for the advice. We are looking at one of the Fantastica balcony cabins right after the first "hump" - the balconies look HUGE! Example: 10080 or 10087.

I'm in 10080 on September 19, I'll let you know.

Here are pictures and sizes of all aft cabins on the Divina. (deck 10,11,12 and 13).  Avoid deck 13 as they have Juliette balconies.  Deck 8 and 9 have regular sized balconies.  For some reason the picture of deck 11 is at the very end.

Those balconies have kind of a “tunnel” or “cave” feeling to them.  Personally I like the balcony next to those cabins a million times better.

The "cove" balconies are huge! Look for fantastica balconies that are where the ship coves in on the side.  Our balcony on the 11th deck is almost as big as the room!

I took your advice and moved to deck 11 for the angled balcony.  If anyone can book Deck 10 Aft, they are awesome, I've been in 10262 twice, smack dab in the middle of the wake.

I'm in that cabin on 11/21.

It's fabulous!  Somewhere, I have a nice photo showing how big it is, along with my snacks and 2 glasses of wine easily brought down from the back buffet bar.  If I can find it, I'll post.

Does that get noisy?

No... the sound of the wake is all I ever heard.  My best memory is my cabin steward, Hari.  I had him in December and 5 months later, I was walking down the hall on embarkation day and Hari stepped out of a cabin.  Our eyes met and I said, Hari?  He said, Miss?  I don't remember your name, but, weren't you in 262 the last time?  I said, yes, I'm there again!  With all his customers, how did he remember that?

I just read a post on FB saying you can't walk down the hall from the the middle of the ship and get to the aft balconies on decks 8-11.  You must go to the aft elevators/stairs on deck 7 and go up or at deck 12 and go down.  Is this correct?

Just off the Nov 7 Divina cruise...

We were in 10256 and you can get off at 10 from the rear elevators on 7, no need to go to 12.

Can't remember the actual cabin number but it was deck 11 on Divina next to the outside stairwell.  Very quiet, stairwell rarely used, would get that cabin again for the balcony anytime.

That is 11297 - I had it a few weeks ago and loved it.  The outside stairs were handy for getting up to the buffet and pool areas. The only issue, as someone mentioned above is that you could only get to it directly from the elevator furthest aft.  Otherwise you needed to choose the floor above or below, walk to the rear and then take the stairs.  There is some sort of closed area on 11 starting a bit past midship.  They gave me a card with instructions at check in.
