Rare Smmessineo Posted August 25, 2021 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2021 I am looking for reassurance about my luggage getting to our stateroom when using a handwritten tag at the port. I am used to having the mailed, sturdy tags with all the info on them, color coding etc etc. Now, i booked a last minute cruise and I can't even print the paper ones (pending). Whenever we drop luggage at the port it all seems rushed. Anyone who has had to put tags on when boarding, do the porters give you time to write everything correctly? jalves Posted August 25, 2021 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2021 We did this a few cruises ago. No problem at all.
Seany527 Posted August 25, 2021 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2021 Thanks for asking. I am running into the same issue. Switch my cabin category and it still says the old cabin number.
canderson Posted August 25, 2021 #4 Share Posted August 25, 2021 Granted, the tags show ship, deck, and map grossly aft/forward, starboard/port, which is how they quickly segregate for delivery by service elevator. But trust me, they know where those cabins are. If worried, make up your own durable tag with ship name and cabin # and it WILL get there, even if the cheesy pier tag comes off. Covepointcruiser Posted August 25, 2021 #5 Share Posted August 25, 2021 Actually, tipping the porters taking your bags won’t hurt!
