Help needed booking flights

Hi,  I am trying to book flights with Cunard for a cruise out of Vancouver July 22.  We have already booked the cruise but flights were unavailable at the time and we were given the phone number 0845 3560005 to call at the end of August to arrange the flights as we want to fly a few days earlier to give us time to tour a little before boarding the ship.  Have tried calling but number is unobtainable which isn’t terribly helpful. Currently in the “book a cruise” standard Cunard phone queue to try to talk to somebody but it’s  just not happening.   Does anyone have any ideas how else I may be able to do this, alternative phone numbers, email addresses that are responded to.  I know I’m not going until next year but need to tie in a tour and can’t do this without the flight details.  Thanks for any help.

They can be so busy that when I sorted my flights out for June 22 it took a while.

i kept getting cut off by EE as the calls were so long so ended up using my landline
I too chose the option “book a cruise” as “ booked already” never got answered.

Only annoyance os they wont ticket until May next year so I cant book a seat with BA until ticketed.

I “argued” with Cunard to ticket it but they wont, I pleaded that 3 times in the past they ticketed straight away but to no avail.

Keep at it - someone will answer eventually

If you wanted to fly into Vancouver a few days earlier, schedules for next July show non-stop flights from Gatwick to Vancouver on WestJet, Heathrow to Vancouver on BA and two on Air Canada.  So that's four non-stops per day.  I would expect Air Transat to also offer a non-stop, probably Gatwick.  Do you have to book through Cunard? I prefer to deal direct with the chosen airline.   I'm thinking its far too soon to book flights.  Airline schedules are in flux until the pandemic is ancient history so whatever you book today ain't gonna happen.  I would certainly wait until the new year.  With four non-stops per day, you will have no problem getting what you want on the day that you want even three or four months prior.  Fares will have settled down too.  Currently, they are outrageous.  Nobody pays that.  Be patient!

We are booked on this cruise to Barcelona and intend to fly out earlier for a few days in Vancouver.

The flights were booked at the same time as the cruise but we have no other information to date.

The flights included one night hotel and transfers, but we may need to downgrade to flights only and arrange our own transfersas we intend to deviate from the package.

I am not too concerned at the moment as it is so far off.  Still sorting out FCC's and FCD's from several cancelled cruises.

we are on the cruise that starts on 11th July 2022 and then staying on til Fort Lauderdale. We are booking flights through our TA this time, due to the "current situation" and I was talking to her about this last week. She is going to start looking for us from next week. We are flying from Manchester so we may have to change at Heathrow or Amsterdam.

We are joining the QE out of SF about a week after the OP.  Maybe, who knows, given the  pandemic.

I'm going to start looking at flights ex NZ via Honolulu around Jan 22 - which is also my cancel with no penalty date.  There are flights available for that time but I'd consider them "placeholder" flights. There are no flights  NZ/Hawaii at the moment and haven't been since March 2020.

Even if I booked a currently advertised flight at the moment  I'd expect  it to change multiple times.

Book direct with an airline that you can reuse the credit with if you need to.

We’ve managed to get it sorted. Rang the Cunard booking line at 8.30am this morning and got straight through. They rang the flight dept for us and we are now booked, obviously subject to any changes which may be needed, pandemic wise, along the way.  Considered booking our own flights but decided to book it with Cunard as a complete package so that if the cruise doesn’t go ahead we can cancel one booking without having multiple deposits to retrieve/lose. It may cost us a bit more but we feel more comfortable having all the arrangements in one place.

We have been able to book our tour provisionally with a small deposit and don’t need to pay the balance until 2 months before so hopefully we should have a clearer picture by then.  Won’t worry about booking Vancouver hotels until nearer the time as we can be flexible with those. Thanks for all your suggestions.  Fingers crossed all goes ahead.
