Yesh im seeing for breakaway and crystal ship but nothing about it for gem.  I did phone up and she said its still in effect so not sure yet . Its added stress imo. If you are fully vaxxed and getting rapid tests in US and there and we arent staying there  it seems overkill and a logistics  timing concern.

You are staying there. The ship does an overnight stay, arriving at 9 am on Day 3 and departing at 3:30 pm Day 4.

Or maybe they can just do two antigens test at the pier, one for NCL and one for Bermuda

Have no idea what is needed but they most certainly would not have to do 2 tests.  They would simply use the results from a single test and give copies to whoever needs them.

This is wonderful news. Now my question is will Bermuda accept the pcr test at the pier or do we have to take a test at home? Or maybe they can just do two antigens test at the pier, one for NCL and one for Bermuda

If they're still requiring you to file an application for the Bermuda Travel Authorization  you would have to take the test (whether PCR or antigen) about 96 hours prior to embarkation....certainly no less than 72 hours...in order to have enough time to ensure your Travel Authorization gets approved prior to embarkation day. However, CDC regulations require a test to be taken no more than two days prior to embarkation, so the test you get for Bermuda 3-4 days prior to your cruise will not meet CDC requirements. The bottom line is that you'll still need two tests, one for Bermuda and one for the US unless Bermuda goes beyond just allowing antigen tests and substantially modifies or eliminates its Travel Authorization process.

LOL.  You asked about taking 2 tests at the pier, not 2 tests prior to sailing.

Sorry, responded to the wrong person.  But I wasn't asking anything either.  🙂

You didn't ask anything but you said something that may not be true and that was what I was responding to in your case: "Have no idea what is needed but they most certainly would not have to do 2 tests" .

That may very well be true but until we see Bermuda's/NCL's published instructions we don't know that. Bermuda has always required an "arrival" test processed at Bermuda's lab, but that would have been impossible for the Breakaway cruises to comply with due to the number of passengers on board so Bermuda allowed NCL's contractor, Eurofins, to take the "arrival" swabs at embarkation and also permitted them to be processed by Eurofins at their lab while the ship was en route. That could change with the change to permit antigen tests as it might now be possible for the swabbing and testing to be done on board just prior to arrival. again. Let's wait and see what the actual published protocols are  before coming to any conclusions.

When I asked if we atill needed to file a TA for Bermuda since no other ship has been added yet. They said wait a few more days for news. Clock in ticking im a week out...
