Customs after Copenhagen-Boston (and flight times)

Do customs take an extra lengthy amount of time when coming from Europe (Copenhagen) to Boston? We are looking at a flight time of around 11:40am out of Boston, which is normally enough time, but I didn't know if the ship takes longer to clear and if it took longer than normal to clear passengers when arriving from Europe. It's for the July, 2022 sailing on Nieuw Statendam.

We are on that cruise!   I would think that is enough time!   But I am an optimist!

I think that's enough time! We're on that cruise too and have flights scheduled to leave at 12:30 that day!

You're correct it often takes more time to clear a ship that has not been in the US for a while.  Who knows what that will be like in a Post-Covid world.   Is this on a weekday?  If so, you may need to factor in additional time for traffic and lines at the airport.   An 11:40 departure time is good in Florida during the middle of the cruise season but may not be good in Boston on a weekday.  What is your back-up plan if you miss the flight?  I would probably select a later departure for this cruise.

The airport is only a little more than 3 miles from the cruise terminal.

We're on that cruise too.  There was over a $100 difference in flight costs for the late morning/noon flights, so we opted for a flight that leaves in the afternoon.  We'll be sitting at the airport for a longgg time.

I would worry more about Immigration issues as opposed to Customs.
