Looks like she's done hanging around Hong Kong and she's headed to her next home port.

Yes, she left Hong Kong yesterday, and is expected to arrive in Singapore on March 9th.:)

I was pretty confident that Alaska would still carry on as Quantum would eventually leave SG. Can't wait for Spectrum, already booked on her for May 19th in Sky class! So excited 🙂

Sea you there.😍

Royal Caribbean to deploy Spectrum of the Seas until April 2023

Royal Caribbean releases Spectrum of the Seas Ocean Getaway sailings from July to October this morning for booking. Sailing from Singapore, she will be sailing similar -3 and -4 Nights Ocean Getaway cruises (cruise to nowhere). That means after she will be sailing cruises with no ports when she starts operations next week on April 11, to October 21, 2022.

“We are excited that Spectrum of the Seas will call Singapore home for the year ahead; this Quantum Ultra Class ship brings a wealth of adventure across activities, entertainment and dining to our guests. Extending Spectrum’s Singapore season for a full year, demonstrates Royal Caribbean’s commitment to the market and underscores the growth potential for cruising in the region,” said Angie Stephen, vice president and managing director, Asia-Pacific, Royal Caribbean International. “We are thrilled with our success in having returned to sailing with Quantum of the Seas, and Spectrum is the opportunity to showcase innovation and bring holidaymakers even more incredible and memorable holidays.”

A Full Year Deployment Demonstrates Commitment to the Singapore Market

With Spectrum now confirming her Ocean Getaway deployments from April to October, and destination cruises from October to April 2023, guests will have plenty of time and selections to enjoy the new ship initially, and sail on them to port calls later in the year.

Spectrum will continue similar schedules, departing Singapore every Monday and Thursdays.

A Regional Homeport and the World’s Next Cruising Playground - International Guests are Welcome

“The arrival of Spectrum couldn’t have come at a better time, just as Singapore shifts towards general vaccinated travel and readies for a strong recovery. We will continue to work with Royal Caribbean and other industry partners to steer cruising in the region towards greater heights,” said Annie Chang, Director of Cruise, Singapore Tourism Board (STB). “Almost a half million people have sailed since Singapore restarted cruises in November 2020, including many first-time cruisers. We strongly believe that the popularity of cruising and our strong fundamentals will enable Southeast Asia to become the world’s next cruising playground.”

From 1st April, international guests can now fly into Singapore, regardless of nationality and region of residence on any flights without quarantine.

The First Ports-of-Call In More Than Two Years

SINGAPORE - Royal Caribbean International has announced changes to Spectrum of the Seas’ itineraries departing from Singapore between June 30, 2022 and October 21, 2022. What was previously Ocean Getaway sailings with no destinations, will now be replaced by 3-night and 4-night sailings to ports-of-call in Malaysia. Guests booked on the affected sailings will now cruise to the ports of Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur) and Penang, Malaysia, the first time in more than two years since the Pandemic first began.

In a press release from the cruise line, Vice President and Managing Director for Asia-Pacific, Royal Caribbean International, Angie Stephen said “We are thrilled to be the first cruise line in Singapore to reconnect holidaymakers with Asia’s beautiful destinations once again. The vibrant and culture-rich cities of Penang and Kuala Lumpur have so much to offer, and that is only the beginning. After more than two years, the excitement from guests, both locals and fly cruisers, along with our travel partners is undeniable.”

Bookings for the new itineraries are available for booking from today through Royal Caribbean International’s website, or through your preferred travel advisor.

Changes to Itineraries, But Not Departure Dates

With the change in itineraries, Spectrum of the Seas’ guests currently booked on 3-Night Ocean Getaway Cruises will now have their itineraries updated to 3N Cruises visiting Penang, Malaysia.

Guests booked on 4-Night Ocean Getaway Cruises will have itineraries updated to visit Port Klang and Penang, Malaysia. Departure dates however, will remain the same for the respective sailings, with 3-Night Penang sailings departing every Monday, and 4-Night Port Klang and Penang sailings departing every Thursday.

With destinations comes exploration! Guests can also look forward to an exciting line-up of shore excursions to choose from with Royal Caribbean, ranging from a trip to visit Southeast Asia’s oldest Anglican church, St. George's Church, in Penang to an adventure into the Batu Caves of Kuala Lumpur, where colourful displays of Hindu deities adorn limestone cave walls. Guests will be free to explore the ports-of-call on their own as well.
