What's the Skinny (No Pun Intended) on the Unlimited Dining Package for Mariner of the Seas?

Reading what RCI publishes, the term unlimited in their Unlimited Dining Package seems a little disingenuous.  Looks like for Playmakers and other "ala carte" restaurants it's really not unlimited, but you do have a "credit" limit toward a meal: $20 for Playmakers for instance.

Can anyone weigh in on this?  Again, no pun intended...

Thanks.

Welcome to RCI marketing, though to be fair it doesn't say "all you can eat". Yes, some venues include a credit.

It’s been discussed and others have confirmed the credit is good for each visit. For example, if you go and get lunch, you can come back later that day and have snacks after dinner, etc. You can not redeem multiple credits for yourself at one time. You can use others credits in your party towards your bill if they dine with you. So a family of 4 with UDP will have $80 to spend at one sitting. Yes, you can share the food if you make friends but they don’t have UDP, at least in playmakers.

We were told if you get close to the dollar amount, close out the tab and start a new one...

However it is a good amount of food for the money
