Current mask culture on Carnival?

We got off the Freedom on Saturday.  I would say that people were compliant with masking in the required locations, as a general rule.  I did notice that in the Comedy Club compliance was lacking (including me), but the shows were not crowded and most persons were socially distanced and drinking.

I don't get it.  What others do is of little consequence to me.  I wear my mask and wash my hands often.  If you're bot wearing a mask and I think you are too close to me, I simply move away.  Personal responsibility y'all!

I went to the piano bar last night and the performer did a general reminder about the mask policy several times.

On Miracle in September there was lots of compliance and constant reminders in casino.    On Mardi Gras 10/30-11/6 and compliance was minimal.   Was told there were 4400 people on board and about 1/3 of people I saw simply avoided masking as much as possible.  Even in shows and the casino where reminders happened- about 1/3 would not mask up, or at best, would leave their nose uncovered.  That includes bars when not drinking and elevators when the doors closed and people were crammed in like sardines.  More than once had someone walk by unmasked (in an area where it is suggested but not required) who did not even have the courtesy to cover their freaking mouth as they hacked up a lung walking by.  People astonish me sometimes.
