If i play 1000 a day worth of bets on blackjack would that do anything?

For $1K a day, I would hope so. If not, something is wrong.

The dealers track your play on table games. Just hope you get one that's paying attention.

The slots track automatically.

Never had much luck getting offers from table games.

I make sure to play 500$ in the slots during the cruise and get offers all the time.

I still play caps and blackjack, but I don't think it helps much.

Currently have 2 comped cruises booked.

We currently have five cruises booked under the casino offers.  They vary in the offer, but our December cruises are two B2B - both free balcony, with princess plus.  We are only paying port taxes and princess protection plan.

We gamble, but do it on a budget.  Your $7,000 should get you some offers.  Go to the casino cage at the start of the cruise and ask how they are going to keep track of your betting.  Make yourself known to the casino manager.

Does anyone know approx how much action u need to give the casinos to get offered a comp cruise?

We only play a very small fraction of that number on slots over an entire cruise and have many comped cruises booked for the next 3 years.
It seems that the amount of time you spend may also factor in.

We are not sure.......we get casino offers for most of our cruises and they usually comp us $500 or more free play and other discounts.....I have learned over the years there is nothing FREE when it comes to casinos and they are making money off someone somehow.....we play our free play and leave it at that.

I know of one elderly lady who we met on a past cruise who was at the slots everyday.  She lost over $20,000 and they GIFTED her a free Hawaii cruise and a dinner at the Crown Grill which see asked us to join her for because she was traveling alone.   I am sure this happens quite often in the casinos onboard.

Best to probably to get to know and be friendly with the Casino mangers and

vice versa.

We have sailed Princess only once on a 3 night cruise in 2019. We played about $1000 a day on video poker. From that we get free cruise offers (inside cabin & balcony with free play and princess plus) regularly which surprised me since it was our first cruise on Princess. Booked on 3 comped cruises in the next few months. You should definitely get some offers!

If that's all she got for 20k in losses, that's terrible. Pre-COVID, at that scale, you can pretty much ask for anything you want on-board (never tried asking for some of the super expensive stuff, but I was offered a shot of Louis once on the last evening), whenever you want. The bounceback offers are harder to determine since there's a longer tail, but I'd expect the immediate onboard bounceback to be valid for anything in the NA/SA/Euro area, up to a 20-day in a mini-suite, plus 2kFP, if not better. In terms, of tail, there'll probably enough offers over the next six months to book another dozen trips.

I typically aim for a little over 1k points on a seven day which works out to a few hundred.  Recently I was offered a free cruise but since I am not yet retired could not take advantage of it.  Usually I get the 35% off offer. Twice when I have called my PVP I have been offered the price on the website but also including plus.  The discount and perks usually work out to more than any losses.  Once I retire I am certainly looking forward to taking the offers up on a more regular basis.  It did seem to take a few cruises to get noticed but once I triggered something the offers have been pretty refular.

My husband retire two years prior to Covid shutting things down.  We went on two cruises a year.  We now have two in December and currently three for 2022.  Once we complete the December cruises, we will see what the offer is for our casino play and we may book something from the summer of 2022.

We both enjoy playing the slots and we have a choice of going to the Indian casinos or playing on a cruise.

Congrats!  I am definitely looking forward to being able to plan like that.

Does anyone know how many decks they use and if they hit soft 17?  Also i understand that the $25 tables pay 3 to 2 on blackjack?

Something high, like 6-8D with hand shuffle, and H17. The higher limit table (I think I've seen it as low as 15) is 3:2... but unless you're on a casino voyage, you'll probably have to request them to open it (if there are dealers at empty tables, they'll  usually move somebody over immediately). The cut card is also pretty early.

DA2, DAS, NRSA. btw, quick disclaimer-- my stuff is pre-COVID for Princess... though I was recently on a HAL, and between having effectively identical setups, they're the same parent company, so I don't expect any differences.

I was cleaning documents off my computer and came across the two letters we received at the end of a cruise we took in 2019 -so pre Covid

this is the letter that was given to you on the last night of the cruise and was based on your casino play - I don't know if this is still done, hopefully someone that recently cruised and is a casino user will respond.

my husbands letter offered $250 in casino play and mine was $150 casino play

(we did not do a lot of gambling on this trip - we had our family with us and we were with them a lot)

the letter was dated April 7 and we had 30 days to book a new cruise to get the casino play offer and the cruise had to be taken before Nov 2 of the same year - so just under 7 month time frame

You would call the casino department - give them the code on the letter and get the discount for the category of cabin you choose to book

inside 35% off, oceanview 30% off, Balcony 25% off, etc.

We will be sailing Dec 11 and when we return I will let you know what offers we get.

thank you...i am hoping to play enough to get a free cruise...i don't mind playing $1000 a day as losses normally small if you stick strictly to basic strategy and sometimes you may even win...at $25 a hand that is only about 40 hands a day
