MSC Divina 18 Day Live Cruise Blog 11/14-12/2

We just breezed through check in at Port Canaveral and are about to start our second cruise onboard MSC Divina!  
 

At 18 days this will be our longest cruise yet!  
 

Despite concerns that MSC computer system changes this weekend could cause delays the process was extremely quick. 
 

Staff has informed us that the passenger count for this cruise is only around 600!

This will be our fourth MSC cruise and our first in Yacht Club.

Oh, and if Chris the singer is there, he is good.  Also the band with female singer outside Sports Bar.  They like shots.

My wife and I are boarding next Sunday for the 11-day itinerary, also in the YC.  We look forward to meeting you.  It will be our 7th MSC cruise, all in the YC and 4th on the Divina.  Sounds like the ship will be pretty empty compared to past trips.  We started packing today and can't wait.  See you onboard.

 We were at Terminal 10

@Motegiwe’re on board as well! May run into you with so few people. They told us 490 passengers. It’s certainly quiet! Bon voyage!

We walked into the restaurant at noon and there was only one other table seated.  
 

I believe they said there were less than 60 passengers in Yacht Club for this sailing.

The new post pandemic in-cabin video muster drill is something I can really get used to!  

We watched the video at 5 PM, dialed the number they instructed us to from our cabin phone,  and then headed down to our muster station to have our keycards scanned.  Simple, short, and stress free.

Enjoyed the Shakeratos at The One Pool bar.  
 

We became addicted to Shakeratos onboard Meraviglia.  If you haven’t had one yet we highly recommend it!

Day 1 - Theater Performance “Simply The Best”

 

This show as comprised of a medley of musical selections of past popular hits.  
 

They only offered a single showtime at 7:45.  The theater was nowhere near capacity even with the mandatory social distancing. We arrived at 7:30 and were able to score seats near the center about 4 or 5 rows back.
 

While this show may not quite be to the scale of the shows they had in the past we still enjoyed the performance overall.

We spent tons of time by the YC pool area. Very quiet and relaxing with so few guests, but with only 500 people the whole ship should be pretty quiet.

It is strange walking down the shops and lounges on decks 6 and 7 and passing by more crewmembers than passengers. 

Many bars and lounges are completely empty.
