MsSoCalCruiser Posted December 22, 2021 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2021 We just returned home from a fabulous cruise on the Majestic Princess. This was a very quick 4 day cruise. We did not want to leave. I want to add that we felt safe at almost all times which is huge for me since I rarely leave home post Covid. The Majestic Princess is BEAUTIFUL! I think this is my new favorite ship. My new favorite ship will probably change again when I get to board the Discovery Princess next year. I’m going to post a few photos. Most of my food pics (not all) are of dairy free items. I will share a few of my friends food choices too that contain dairy. I did have some issues getting food for my dairy free diet but when I was able to get something to eat it was usually very, very good.
MsSoCalCruiser Posted December 22, 2021 Author #2 Share Posted December 22, 2021 Lets start with the crew… The crew on the Majestic Princess were awesome. The service was fantastic! The crew couldn’t do enough to help you and they were all so friendly.
MsSoCalCruiser Posted December 22, 2021 Author #3 Share Posted December 22, 2021 Our cabin… I am extremely happy to report that I received my very first UPGRADE!!! I booked an IA Sideways Interior. I was upgraded before boarding to a BA Balcony!!! Once onboard, I asked for and was able to upsell to a Mini Suite! Our very first Mini Suite and we loved it! Thank you Princess Cruises! 💙. The bed was separated into two twins for us right after this photo was taken.
MsSoCalCruiser Posted December 22, 2021 Author #4 Share Posted December 22, 2021 The Hollywood Conservatory… We loved this area! It was nice having a drink and a small side of fries delivered to us while we were sitting in a cabana… can you say spoiled? Like I said earlier, the service was wonderful!
MsSoCalCruiser Posted December 22, 2021 Author #5 Share Posted December 22, 2021 The Crown Grill… We went to the Crown Grill twice over our four day cruise. My ribeye steak was very thin but still tasted great. I don’t know if this is a supply issue or if this is the way it is from now on? My food items are all dairy free. The service was amazing both nights.

MsSoCalCruiser Posted December 22, 2021 Author #7 Share Posted December 22, 2021 Embarkation lunch in the MDR… I always enjoy Embarkation Lunch in the MDR. What a great way to start a cruise!
MsSoCalCruiser Posted December 22, 2021 Author #8 Share Posted December 22, 2021 Harmony…. We both really enjoyed Harmony and said that we would return whenever we are on the Majestic Princess. The little dessert was something that they had prepared for me that was dairy free. The Hot and Sour soup was very good. Everything was Tasty!
MsSoCalCruiser Posted December 22, 2021 Author #9 Share Posted December 22, 2021 Lunch in the buffet… We had lunch one time in the Buffet and it was VERY good. The chef had some special items prepared for me. We also had dinner there but for some reason there was very little available for me to choose from at dinner time. Here are my lunch photos.
MsSoCalCruiser Posted December 22, 2021 Author #10 Share Posted December 22, 2021 Dairy free dining in Alfredos… One of the things that I miss the most with my adult onset allergy is cheese. That said, this was still very good. The next time I think I will ask them to cook it a bit longer because the vegetables were still raw and the meat undercooked. I really appreciate them making this for me!
MsSoCalCruiser Posted December 22, 2021 Author #11 Share Posted December 22, 2021 Movies On Demand… A few of the movies that I can remember were Cruella (great movie), Jungle Cruise, The United States versus Billie Holiday, Those Who Wish Me Dead, Yesterday, and Nomadland. There were many, many others!
MsSoCalCruiser Posted December 22, 2021 Author #12 Share Posted December 22, 2021 Out and about… The Majestic Princess was decorated for Christmas. Everything was so pretty! Guest Services told me that there were only about 1300 passengers on our sailing. A ship this empty is a totally different experience. The buffet photo was taken around 7 PM. As you can tell by the different photos there was hardly anyone on the ship. I missed the hustle and bustle but I also liked the experience of so few passengers. We felt safe. There were only a few times that we felt uneasy when people were unmasked stepping into an elevator. When something like that happened we just stepped out and waited for the next elevator. Princess is really doing a fine job in this Post Covid world.
MsSoCalCruiser Posted December 22, 2021 Author #13 Share Posted December 22, 2021 I did a separate post on our disappointing room service experiences. I do want to add that the crew that delivered the orders were all very nice and did a fine job. This was my Club Sandwich with rock hard bread and my Chicken Noodle soup from room service. We tried room service three different times. This is nothing like it used to be.

Rare roxievegas Posted December 22, 2021 #16 Share Posted December 22, 2021 We were on the same cruise. The crew bent over backwards to please everyone. They were great. We tried the noodle bar - not big fans. I had the lobster sandwich from the hotdog stand (paid $15.00) not going to buy that again - plenty of lobster, but just not tasty, missing the butter flavor. The final dinner (last night) had surf and turf - the filet mignon was excellent - best beef meal of the cruise. Our prime rib on the first night was tough and dry. None of this will stop us from getting on board in March, April, August and Sept 2022.

We didn’t go to the dining room for dinner at all because I had booked three nights specialty dining out of the four nights. I saw that the last night had the surf and turf but we had already had steak twice. How nice that you have all of those cruises booked! Enjoy! We have one booked for April 2022.
AVCruzers Posted December 23, 2021 #19 Share Posted December 23, 2021 I also was on the same cruise except we had also been on the previous 7 days. We ate most of our meals in Club Class and 5 stars for their service! If we had an issue with food items like French onion soup and prime rib, we quickly spoke to both the waiter and head waiter. Both meets/greets were large gathering with lots of officers. CD Kevin and the Captain highly praised our CC members for their support of cruising. My DH and myself felt we interacted more with the entire crew. I noticed you shared a photo of Cooper one of the servers whom we know is married to Elizabeth, another server. Kevin and his crew kept us entertained and relaxed,

We did have breakfast and lunch there once. The service was fantastic.
Rare geoherb Posted December 23, 2021 #21 Share Posted December 23, 2021 Thanks for posting. I enjoyed my Majestic cruise to Alaska in August. The Hollywood Conservatory was my favorite new place. It's too bad Princess did not keep it for the subsequent ships.

Coveguy4 Posted December 23, 2021 #23 Share Posted December 23, 2021 I was on this cruise also. Club class dining had fantastic service, Mary and Fatima were both wonderful servers. The only disappointment was the money I lost in the casino....lol Seriously, I loved the ship, crew and festive decorations

Rare roxievegas Posted December 24, 2021 #25 Share Posted December 24, 2021 We tried ordering dinner one night from the room service on the TV. It took about 10 minutes going back and forth from the pictures and selecting what we wanted. Then we hit "order now" and we waited and waited and waited - no food. So I called room service and they said they had no order for us. So we went upstairs to buffet. Another time we had a knock on the door - server outside with a tray with two cups of coffee. I told him we had not ordered anything - we did not have use of the app, so I know we did not make a mistake using our phones.
