Safety in Southern Caribbean

It’s been over 20 years since we’ve visited any islands in the Southern Caribbean (St Croix, Antigua, Grenada, etc.).  We certainly understand basic rules of safety, but we’re curious about any serious concerns or warnings for visitors.

If there were serious safety issues the cruise lines would not stop there.  Not to say everything is 100% safe of course, but overall cruise lines will drop ports if there are serious safety concerns.
