Picked up by who? We're often picked up by family or private transportation.

Uber/Lyft ...no....there's a designated area you must make your way to.

Individuals can pick up curbside and luxury providers, like limos and Uber Black can. Taxis and standard rideshare pick up at the LAX-it Lot.

 

Rental car shuttles, hotel shuttles, etc pick up at the center median curbside.

How hard is it to lug your luggage to the LAX-it Lot if you get a luggage cart? Do you have to take a tram or a shuttle bus?

It depends on which terminal you arrive at. The LAX-it (pronounced LA Exit) lot is next to Terminal1. You can walk to it from Terminals 1, 7 & 8, but I am not sure if you can take a luggage cart. There is a LAX-it shuttle bus that is no different then a rental car or hotel shuttle.

Looks like United is Terminal 7 can we walk to it with a luggage cart?

The LAX-if lot is walkable from Terminal 7. I don't know if you can take a luggage cart there.

I should have looked at the LAX-it FAQs, yes you can take luggage carts, there are return racks there.

We just used Uberblack for pickup from main terminal because we needed 2 large Ubers due to our group and luggage size. It was great, even though more costly, totally worth it! If you can swing the cost I'd 100% recommend versus lugging yourself and carts down to the other pick up lot.
