Can a FCD expiration date be extended? If so, what’s the process?

We have all of our existing FCDs assigned to future bookings except for 1 which expires next month. Is there a way to get the FCD expiration date extended rather than just letting it expire? We want to book another cruise with it in March, when hopefully some new SA itineraries come out. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Call Princess (regular 1-800-Princess number) . Ask for it to be extended.

 

If told "no", call again and ask a different agent.

 

Repeat as necessary until you get it extended.

 

Call around 8 AM PST to have the shortest wait time to reach an agent.

If you are on a Princess cruise now, the future cruise consultant may be able to help you with this.

That would be a good option to definitely try. However, we are currently on our other favorite cruise line, Celebrity, right now.

We live in Australia and have a Future Cruise Deposit (FCD) which expires on 30 January 2022.

 

I had intended to contact Princess  about an extension but they sent an Email on 23 December 2021, stating "We are automatically extending the expiry date of your FCD by 24 months.........

If you wish to opt out of having your FCD extended........please select the Opt Out button below".

 

We want to extend them so have taken no further action.  As of today, the 30 January 2022 date is still showing in our records, and we are assuming this will be automatically amended after we reach that date.

Very good of Princess in Australia to do this automatically.

 

Maybe Princess in the USA will do the same.

We got back from our cruise and contacted our TA this morning. By this afternoon she was able get Princess to extend the expiration date of our 2 FCDs, which were due to expire 1/11/22, a year to 1/11/23. Yay!!
