"Bonus Shipboard Credit for New to Viking Guests" - Any Insights?

I see the Viking website is now listing an offer of "Bonus Shipboard Credit for New to Viking Guests"  (along with double loyalty discounts for prior guests.)

 

Has anybody seen how much these credits are?  (just wondering if it's worth haranguing them...) 

 

(in retrospect, this may not be the best place to ask this question - you guys are typically pretty far from newbies!)

I called today when I saw it offered for both of my booked cruises. Since I never sailed with Viking, I read it that it was for new cruisers to Viking which I am. It’s not and only good for new bookings and was $200.00 pp. I asked if it could be added to my future cruises and was told it couldn’t unless I canceled and rebooked. Not worth losing RFG for $200.00.

Does anyone know what the double loyalty discount for past guests consists of?

not much....we have sailed 2 times...got 200 pp for a future booking...

 

but lost a 700 promo for the cancelled cruise....

 

IMHO, Viking is doing all they can to give as little as possible in the way of Promos knowing that so many of us have vouchers to use up...

 

the new promos are a pittance by comparison to the past ...
