Liberty of the Seas recent travelers

Is the outdoor movie screen working on Liberty?  It was broken when we sailed in December.

I can tell you that's it's not on right now. I'm at the pool, and it's dark. Movies are showing at On Air.

Frankly, I find that something of a mercy.

Who's recently been to one of the specialty restaurants?  We've never done one before, but thinking about it for next week ... on my birthday.  🙂  Specifically, I'm wondering what kind of table spacing, social distancing there is. We are hoping not to have to be seated with anyone else, whether at a specialty restaurant or the MDR.

I doubt its changed since I was on. Yes to having your own table. No to social distancing...though maybe you can request a table further away but might take longer to be seated at specialty restaurants. Many tables were close together. Someone said 18 inches. Idk but close enough to hold a conversation and can hear everything they say at the next table.

Just got back this Sun Jan 9 on Liberty.
Staff said we were about 50%.
Masks in all areas except stateroom and while eating/drinking.

Elevators were open all week (except first dinner call - expected)

Cafe had minimal or no lines.
MDR had minimal or no lines. Tables during our meal were 75-80% full.
Casino had some staff shortages including both Casino Hosts went MIA/isolation mid-week. :-0
On the other hand, Casino was slow, so they moved dealers that had no players to requested tables, i.e. BJ that pays 3/2 or 3card.

No on duty staff looked ill nor any noticeable symptoms from any passengers. I felt safe.
I've returned home last Sun, had an extra home test that came back Negative.
I still feel safer sailing than going to Wal-mart or Chili-s. Comfortably scheduled next one for Mar.

Happy sailing

You will not be seated with anyone else at a specialty restaurant. Table spacing is decent. Many of the tables already are well spaced in Chops. Giovanni's is a little tighter but manageable.  We've been on both and have been very pleased.

We haven't looked in Sabor, but we'll be there tonight.  I recall it being fairly tight, but I have no idea what they've been doing recently.

Can any of you recent travelers on Liberty comment about shore excursions in the various ports? Were you allowed to take private tours or were you required to take RCI tours only? What were the masking requirements in the various ports?

If vaccinated you can do private tours. Np. We did roatan and it poured rain. Winter is rainy season there .. tropical rain poured. The excursion lady was especially adamant on keeping your mask on. Ports are less vaccinated than here so required. Seemed like walking around cozumel masks were more lax than before.
