We are cruising on Independence of the seas in 2 weeks and have a casino question. Is your sign and sail card your casino card also? Or are there still paper receipts from each machine. If cards are used can you take cash advances from the slot machine onto your sail card with no fee? We have only gambled on Carnival recently and you can take money with no fee against your card. Thanks for your help

Your room card is also your casino card.  You just tap it on the machine to "sign in" and check your point balance...

There is a fee to take cash advances until you reach prime status 2500 points at that point it is waived, you get free drinks in the casino, and a yearly free cruise.  I am sure there are more seasoned veterans that will chime in with more to add.

Not a gambler, but… you may transfer money to the machine through your onboard account without a fee. (Or at least I can when I need cash)

We have been able to xfer $ from our room account at no fee, but we are each prime or above tier at club Royale.  I believe that there is a charge (3% or 5%) if you are not at least prime.  The only reason that we are prime or above is that we have gambled WAY more than the 3 or 5 % on each of our RCCL cruises.  We may have saved ourselves more by paying the fee and gambling less.  But, we like to gamble, so we will never know...

I was saying that if I had to pay 3% or 5% fee to gamble that I would gamble less.  (but probably not)
