Can you walk in to Tampa Cruise port?

Were looking to see if you can walk into terminal 6 from a hotel or nearby location? I know when we went out of Miami you had to take a taxi across the bridge to access the cruise port. During these Covid times if we could limit our in vehicle time with others this would be the best case option. That of course is if it isn't raining.

Unlike most ports the cruise terminals in Tampa sit away from the cargo areas and are actually near or IN an entertainment area and very 'foot friendly'.  Terminal 6 is just about 1/3 miles east of the Home2 Suites on Kennedy.

p.s. in Miami that bridge into the port does have a sidewalk .... and since the tunnel opened several years ago the traffic on that bridge is MUCH less. It is a bit of a walk up and over but can be done . . . OTOH in Canaveral the north side terminals (Disney and older Carnival and others) can be reached only by a bridge CLOSED to foot traffic . . .
