doglover214 Posted January 21, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2022 My group of 8 is considering a crossing. What could we expect as far as lecturers and entertainment to make the many days at sea interesting?
Rare mj_holiday Posted January 21, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2022 Comments are about before COVID. There always seemed to be enough to keep us busy on the TAs we have taken. There have been a couple lecturers who will talk about different subjects between the two of them. There is bingo, MENSA quiz, trivia, a couple activities such as, golf, shuffle board, bean bag toss etc. All of these games award Regent points that can be turned in near the end of the cruise for nice Regent stuff. There will also be things like cooking demo, demo on making drinks, wine tasting etc. We have never been at a loss for something to do. We also met lots of really great people at the various activities.

Very pleasant to just enjoy the ship as the destination; maybe take in a lecture, play some games, read a book, socialise, eat, drink etc etc
DeepFreeze63 Posted January 21, 2022 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2022 DW and I have done 4 TAs and have LOVED them. As the other posters have indicated LOTs to keep you busy including: the fun-filled "Country Fair" (almost always scheduled); "Build-a Boat" (often scheduled); and a ship-wide dine on deck under the stars (terrific event). And I have never entered the casino; I should try that as they give complimentary lessons.
chuckw Posted January 21, 2022 #6 Share Posted January 21, 2022 Going east to west; you gain an hour almost every day instead of losing an hour. We really enjoy the sea days, never get bored.
