groundloop Posted January 21, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2022 Our daughter has one of the great offers that have been going around but she isn't positive she can make the cruise we're thinking about. What would happen if the three of us booked a cabin with her VIFP offer and it turns out at the last minute that she can't go?
BrianMD Posted January 21, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2022 All of the great VIFP offers I have received stipulate that the person associated with the VIFP number must be present for the sailing, if not you would be charged a non-discounted rate. Yes, the person who booked the cruise with their VIFP offer, has to be on the cruise.
garycarla Posted August 16, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2022 the rule makes good sense. They offer those deals to "proven gamblers' with the expectation they will make some donations in the casino to help cover the cost of the cabin. Just like land based casinos.
theckenlady Posted August 16, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 16, 2022 They will charge the people going the rate of the room at the time of sailing. No getting a cheap cruise without the person who booked it.
Rare lazydayz Posted August 16, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 16, 2022 While everyone above gave you the correct answer, there was a report from a cruiser a few months ago who showed up at the ship alone and the booking was under his wife's VIFP number. He reported he was able to board and was never charged extra. Your mileage may vary, but the official rule is the invited guest must cruise.
