Best place to stay and park in New Orleans.

For parking, I have used both Fulton Place Parking and the more expensive deck at the port. I prefer Fulton. It is cheaper and the shuttle service is very good. The port parking was expensive and I had a terrible time finding a parking spot. Now reduced capacity on sailings may help with that problem.

Once you find a hotel, be sure to check see if it's on hotwire for a discount.  Find your hotel on hotwire, filter by amenities, match up the number of "expedia reviews".  In this booking example which is for tonight, includes of taxes and resort fees you'd save around $50/night all in.

We did the Fulton Place rooftop parking on our last cruise. I found the employees helpful and don't have any complaints. The rooftop parking price was excellent.

For our hotel we stayed at the Hilton Riverside. We were only there one night pre-cruise. It was fine. It is very close to the cruise terminal - you could walk to it.

I use their roof top parking too. Less expensive and my car sits outside at home.
