Carnival Horizon Paint Job Peeling Off

As I've said, it is not that uncommon to do this, nor is it usually a problem, if application procedures are followed correctly.  Just saw that this happened in December, and winter painting of ships is particularly difficult due to "micro-environments" created (areas where temperature and humidity vary wildly over the surface of the ship due to shading by structure above, or the drydock, etc).  Winter paint jobs are notorious for coating failure, and this would have happened whether they took it down to bare steel or not.

I've seen days where you could paint the sides of the ship, no problem, but under the ship it was literally raining from the condensation forming on the hull.
