Super Bowl on Epic?

Does anyone have experience with watching a major sporting event on the Epic?  I’m sure they will be showing the Super Bowl somewhere on the ship, but I would really like to know what that experience is like.

 

I know the staterooms don’t get NBC - are you able to connect a Roku, etc?  That way we could watch it on Peacock😀.

I was on Epic for the New England/Atlanta Super Bowl in 2017. They showed it on the big screen on deck. I'm sure it was probably being shown elsewhere on board, but it was awesome viewing up top!

I think I was on that one as well.... I think it was also on the TV's in O'Sheehans and in the atrium big screen

I haven't been on the Epic for a Super Bowl, but I have been on the Escape and the Bliss. The game was shown on deck, in O'sheehan's, and in the Atrium.

The 2020 Super Bowl was shown in the cabins on the Gem.  It almost certainly will be in a number of other places on the Epic, likely the atrium, O'Sheehans at the very least.

Did they have the full broadcast version of the SB?   Several years back on the Epic they showed it but it was some weird satellite feed where they only showed the actual game, no commercials and no halftime show.

That is also what I have been reading.  We will be on the Joy so I am hoping for a lot of options.

Thanks, Jamie.  Do you remember the District Brew House?   We are hoping to watch it there on the Joy next week.

Unless they change it, that is what you will get.

I think we've watched 7 or 8 Super Bowls on ships and have yet to see a commercial or anything but the actual game.  They only pay for and broadcast the raw feed.

Hmm, I honestly don't recall. I would be surprised if they didn't show it there, since I do recall seeing lots of other sporting events on the TVs there.
