tx121 Posted February 10, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2022 Hey everyone. So I am in a bit of a dilemma on whether we should book a transatlantic cruise on the Carnival Celebration. We have a great casino offer but we are questioning if this sailing will even take place or will be cancelled for other reasons than covid. We are prepared to deal with having some finishing touches and construction going on during the cruise or certain venues not being open. What is worrying is if there is a ship delay and the transatlantic cruise will not happen and the ship will start the cruises in the Caribbean. Do you think a transatlantic cruise for a new ship is a risky choice? The issue really is taking time off work .
CruiseAdict218 Posted February 10, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2022 Well Mardi Gras’ transatlantic was cancelled due to the ship being delayed but that was also due to the fact the ship a head in line of building (Costa Smeralda) was delayed first. It’s a gamble but so far Celebration is on time for delivery.
SDTex Posted February 10, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2022 Agree with CruiseAddict. We were booked to be on the maiden Mardi Gras to Northern Europe, then it's second trip which was a TransAtlantic. Both were cancelled and all we got out of it were 2 $50 OBC offers each. They allegedly gave us 2 $100 FCC each, but when I went to use them last week (our PVP said we had until March 28, 2022) they said it was expired in Dec. 2021. BUT........though our experience wasn't so good, I would definitely strongly consider another T.A. cruise on Celebration or next year on Jubilee. Good luck and Happy (and Safe) Cruising.

If you were booked on the original Maiden Voyage Denmark to Southampton, the T/A and I’m not sure how long after that; you would have received a 25% off future cruise credit.
