mrschipsfc Posted February 14, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2022 good morning all I am currently booked on the Seashore April 23 I received the HC discount when I booked. I see that this cruise qualifies for the 5+15 discount for Voyagers Club of which I am a member, Does anyone know if I can get the VCou discount as OBC? Thank you

Thank you You can try, but most are saying they are not having luck. They appear to be holding the line on only one discount can be applied. The one absolute with MSC is that there is no absolute. Won't hurt to try, though.

JAGR Posted February 14, 2022 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2022 It's a good discount, and deserved. Thanks for being on the front lines in this seemingly never-ending battle!
cruiseguyinorl Posted February 14, 2022 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2022 You can't apply the 5+15 as their system won't allow it. But you can get the regular 5% VC discount to combine with the HEAL30. If it's not already, have them add MSCCLUB5 in the discount field. jdvmd Posted February 14, 2022 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2022 Definitely cannot combine 5 + 15 with the Healthcare discount. Went through this all yesterday.
drsel Posted February 14, 2022 #7 Share Posted February 14, 2022 Do dermatologists, dentists, opthalmologists, orthopedic surgeons working in their own private clinics qualify for the healthcare discount?
awatt Posted February 15, 2022 #8 Share Posted February 15, 2022 drsel- I believe you have to be an in house doc. There was a discussion of that somewhere on these boards a few months back. I had to send them photo of my hospital ID badge to get the discount.

No, as you have often reminded folks on these boards. 😉

You can take the healthcare discount with the 5% though for regular voyager club. We’re leaving the week after you, only reason we booked msc was because of the discount. drsel Posted February 17, 2022 #11 Share Posted February 17, 2022 How can the other cruise lines compete with a HUGE 50% healthcare discount? MSC can put the competition out of business

kilkoyne Posted February 26, 2022 #13 Share Posted February 26, 2022 (edited) My current invoice is not showing the healthcare discount. The cruise rep said I would have to wait until my healthcare documents were reviewed (probably within a couple of days). Will I receive an updated invoice when it is approved? Also, is MSC that quick in processing the discounts? Thanks Edited February 26, 2022 by kilkoyne

Thanks I submitted the supporting documents on Wednesday last week and the Healthcare Hero Discount was approved on Thursday morning, (less than 24 hours) via eMail from MSC. I verified by checking the booking on MSC website.. all good.. I saved a considerable amount.. Thank You MSC !
Bendamsed Posted January 5, 2023 #15 Share Posted January 5, 2023 (edited) It is not uncommon for cruise lines to offer promotions and discounts to their customers, and it is possible that the Voyager's Club discount you mentioned is one such promotion. If you are a member of the Voyager's Club and your cruise is eligible for the 5+15 discount, you may be able to apply the discount to your booking as onboard credit (OBC). Rare EllieinNJ Posted January 5, 2023 #16 Share Posted January 5, 2023 When they repriced my cruise with healthcare workers and vc I got a $200 discount but they took away the $100 OBC.
