Specialty Dining - refund onboard?

What happens if you cancel a specialty dinner that you reserved prior to sailing, but decide to cancel once onboard?  Do they cheerfully refund your money or are you out of luck?  I'm not talking about just not showing up, but canceling morning of.

You might get OBC, but you are supposed to cancel at least 24 hrs out.

If I cancel 24 hours in advance am I guaranteed a full refund?  I never saw any "rules" posted.

Edit:  I am fine with OBC, just don't want to lose my money.

I once cancelled a specialty dinner a few hours before my reservation because I wasn’t feeling well and it was a non issue. They just credited it back to my account. It was a Chops lunch I’d booked online.
