Years ago … 2001 and a few years afterwards —  we would be on a cruise and there would be an announcement that because of many cabins were unsold for the next cruise they we’re having great discounts if you wanted to stay on for the next week.  We actual did it once.  Has anyone experienced this recently?

Are the rates reduced?  Getting on Reflection tomorrow and thinking …

My last cruise two weeks ago was on Reflection.  There were two couples that I know of who said they got "great" deals to stay a second week.  I don't have specific amounts, but certainly worth asking about when you board.

It'll depend entirely on what the next sailing looks like. Just ask once you're on board and see what they offer.

We did it a couple of weeks ago on the Apex.  There was no great deal.  Basically the list price with a 150 OBC for booking onboard.  We were on a B2B and decided to add one more week rather than come home to 2 feet of snow and ice.
