Any ideas on how to identify which are single cabins on the newer RC ships? Any single cabins on older RC ships?

I believe only on Quantum class.  When you do a mock booking these cabins come up as studios--smaller than a regulsr cabin.

I edited my post.  Harmony and Radiance (ships) have them.  Those are 2 that I know of, there may be others

So is Harmony the only Oasis class.  I've booked solo on Allure and Oasis and studio cabins do not come up in the booking process.

Just curious which other class.

Jewel has 4 and another ship I had booked has 6. .. .2W. Book early as soon they cost more than insides and are about 100 sf. .. and 1 pt, no extra solo pt.

Rcl doesnt even know about these lol. Had 3 reps tell me they dont exist.

Not a good deal as Brillo says

Now I know this is the RCi board but

for great solo rooms look up NCL.  They have dedicated hallways that are quiet and also a Studio lounge with snack and beverages.   Yes sometimes you can get regular inside rooms a bit cheaper, bu the studio rooms and NCL are the best at sea.  They are small but comfy.   I love them and doing some next year.

I’m booked on serenade of the seas and the solo room was 300.00 cheaper then inside room. I also know jewel of the seas had some great deals on solo cabins on a Caribbean cruise last year. (It’s over now_too bad.) I would make sure you do your own research and don’t be deterred by those who say it’s not cheaper. It never hurts to look. The room looks super small though!

Note I booked through royal Caribbean as canadians don’t have the good travel agent deals that people have in the states have so that may make a difference. What annoys me is royal Caribbean used to show the studio cabins but now doesn’t. I go to a large unmentionable site to look.

My ta is in canada. Either works. He does have group rates, mostly good imo because of refundable deposit. Living in canada doesnt stop anyone from using a ta.

I know that but here in Vancouver there doesn’t seem to be a lot of options. Are you in Ontario? I was just thinking I should look there for a TA.

Idk how you can find a online ta with access to everything .. mine just happens to live in canada but he books all over. I wouldnt want a land based. Mine answers emails pronto.

I just happened to see a solo balcony on a newer ship for 978 for 6 nights out of miamia next march. .. but only 1 loyalty pt. Many of us rather get the extra solo pt. I cant tell you the name of the site I use that shows solo prices... rcl doesnt really imo. We cant give sites advertising or tas on here ..wish I could.

I don't think anyone ever said it's NEVER cheaper -- just that if you don't nab it right after the new schedules come out, it's likely that if you do find it available later on, supply-and-demand will often have it more expensive than a regular double-occupancy room.

Don't assume that EITHER way is cheaper -- always do your research.  Heck, I've seen choose-your-rooms cheaper than we-pick-your-rooms, and I've seen window rooms cheaper than insides.... you never know what the pricing will be when the supply/demand algorithm gets involved.

On my last booking for Oasis Dec. 4 sail, I found that after reaching D+340 and with the solo reduced balcony discount and a $100 casino credit, I was able to get a CP balcony for $960,  Plus, sine I booked on board, got an OBC of $100 and 2x points.  Can't beat that price.

Ps.  When I initially got the adjusted invoice, it only showed a $38 in OBCs.  Called the Casino desk and asked "how the heck did you arrive at the $38."  Told him that I can see losing the additional promo of OBCs $50, but not the $100 on board OBC.  Supposedly he restored the $100 credit, however, waiting for the adjusted-adjusted invoice to reflect the credit.

Lol I had 4 bookings all with 38 obc. ..the first wow sale says more availble ... but solo generated 38 obc .. plus I got stock credit later. I'm happy whatever .. 38 it is. The march 20th is old booking but the march 27 is the last one with the 38 solo obc from wow sale. 138 total with stock. Hey better than nothing. I think if I had booked 2 people the obc is higher.

My puzzlement was how was the $38 arrived at and what has that to do with the on-board booking credit.  I can understand losing the add'l $50 obc promo due to the lower price and reducing my balcony discount from $250 to $188.

Again my guess is it said 50, but I got 38. .. because I'm solo. 50 would be for double booking. Mine said 50 available but I got 38. Lol I can show you my 138 obc .. 100 from stocks .. I have 4 on liberty booked solo wow first wow sale save me 38 ... no matter it said 50.
