My very first cruise (as an adult) we sailed out of Long Beach...we stayed the night prior at the Hotel Maya and you can see the ships from there.  I remember saying to Hubby "wow do you think our ship will be bigger then the Queen Mary????....then in the morning I got to see how much bigger the Pride was vs. the Queen Mary I was blown away....now the Panorama does that to the Miracle lol.
