I suppose they would be a step above sweatpants.  Jersey-like material with elastic at the bottom of the legs. So maybe it's a Northern US thing. 😂

No. Think, instead, of slimmer cut sweatpants, made of slightly lighter material than the average sweatpants. Similar to yoga pants in that both are athleisure wear, but more modern and less revealing.

A quick search on the Nordstrom website shows joggers as loose fitting with gathered ankles, most had draw string waists. Just gotta say that my black yoga pants with a thigh long tunic would look better. They would sure save a lot of packing space.
