If you have never been before stay somewhere central. We have spent many days in Barcelona so now we use the Hotel Hotel Sallés Ciutat del Prat. They do a cruise package where they pick you up at the airport, give you bed and breakfast and then take you to the ship. Cost for our December Cruise was 140 Euros.

It is in a residential / business area so no tourist stuff but there is a supermarket for anything you forgot to pack.

Can you tell me more about this hotel? Looks like something I am looking for. Am flying in the day before & am landing before 10am - wondering if they would pick me up & let me check in early. I will be on my own

Their web site is https://www.hotelciutatdelprat.com/step1?lang=en&idtokenprovider=59908055#

This is a screen shot of the cruise package - the best way to find it is to google the hotel name and cruise package - I find the web site hard to navigate. When you get to the airport you call them and then send a mini bus to collect you. Even if you can't check in you will be able to drop off your bags. The hotel is in a residential area about 20 minutes drive from the city, so not sure its a good choice if you are arriving in the morning and want to do sightseeing.

There are thousands of hotels in Barcelona. I recommend you look at something like The Mirror; close to the sights.

As you need to take a cab to the port, there is nothing at the port itself.

Eurostars Gran Marina is nice at the end of Ramblas, and right next to the port bus 🚌 that will take you to the port the next day for just €3pp
