Thanks all for the answers.  We just turned D recently there are some benefits we did not know and still learning from this site.

Another perk we use is the casino promo.  Used to be just 3 coins given to you in the casino and to be used only on one designated slot machine...you can win key chains, t-shirts,...other stuff.

Now, you get $6 promo money to use at any slot machine. If you visit the casino during the first 2 days of your sailing, we've received $8.  We don't gamble much but we were lucky yesterday and turned the $8 to $53...cashed out...happy.

How does getting coffee in the Diamond Lounge work?  Does the passenger use the coffee machine?  What coffee drinks are available?  Cappucino?

Is water available for no charge?

How crowded does the lounge typically get and when?

New to Diamond too!

The coffee machine is in the lounge.  Pre covid anyone with acess could go in and make themselves a coffee pretty much at any time (self service).  Its a machine that makes a variety of options like cappucino, espresso, etc.  Post covid, on our cruises thus far, there is an employee there to run the machine and make it for you sos it is not available 24/7 but still pretty much all day long.

There is a water disepenser and cups to fill in the lounge, but not bottled or canned water if that is what you are asking about.

Crowd levels vary dramatically from sailing to sailing IME, but are nearly always higher in the cocktail hours (even now that there is no free flowing alcohol then, there are snacks set out and people like to geth together before dinner) than at other times of the day

The "free play" in the casino is now $6 instead of those 3 coins. You can use any machine and we discovered that if you visit the casino the first 2 days of your sailing...it's $8.

Instead of winning key chains and/or t-shirts, you can actually win money. (Onboard now and got lucky...my $8 became $53.)

I only learnt about this on my recent Grandeur cruise!!!  My friend turned her $8 into $65! I only got $12… but still better than nothing!!

If you order bottled water in the Diamond Lounge it counts as a drink on your voucher.  Ask for a glass of water instead.   They did this on the Harmony and the Symphony recently when we sailed.
