jstrutton Posted March 20, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2022 Can anyone give us some advice on doing something for 1 day prior to our Carnival cruise. We will be staying at the renaissance hotel at the airport. We are open to tours fro there for 1 day then we will probably just catch the carnival bus from heathrow. thanks in advance jay

Without knowing what you like it's impossible to cover everything that can be done in London.
flossie009 Posted March 20, 2022 #3 Share Posted March 20, 2022 Quickest way into central London is via the Heathrow Express, then use bus or underground to explore the sights. The London Visitor guide is a useful resource.
Thejuggler Posted March 21, 2022 #4 Share Posted March 21, 2022 In a day you can do 1 or 2 things very well, or cover a lot of ground just sightseeing. My advice is plan, plan and plan. Look at the many websites which will give you an idea of what there is and where it is and how you can maximise a one day visit. Once you have planned come back here and I'm sure people will give advice on whether it is possible. The Thames Clipper river boats are an excellent way of seeing the city from a different angle. Rare Harters Posted March 21, 2022 #5 Share Posted March 21, 2022 (edited) The "hop on, hop off" bus tour could be a good way of cramming a lot of sight seeing round the capital's central touristy area, into one day. It will be superficial, of course. If you have particular interests, doing just a couple of things in the day may be a good alternative. (PS: long time since we were in Myrtle Beach. Had a really relaxing few days there) Edited March 21, 2022 by Harters
