Private transportation from the ship

Has anyone ever arranged private transportation through Regent from the ship to the airport?

How does that work.  Can we be first off the ship?  Curious about the specifics.  Thanks for

Although its convenient we have found the Regent private transportation to be very expensive.  We generally make our own flight arrangements so we also have to book transfers.  In Dublin Regent offered a private car for $500 we had the hotel send a car and it cost $35.  London Regent offered 3x what we paid.  The cost of bus transfer at times is reasonable others not.

Book a private car service and get a receipt showing a pickup 30 minutes after docking - you will be let off ASAP to meet your ride.

It's easy. You just indicate on the disembarkation form when you want to be off. If it's early, you might want to keep your luggage with you rather than having it taken the night before and retrieved port-side. Make sure your ride had information about where to pick you up.

Specifics:  

 

Rio, back in December, 2015.  We were, literally, first off the ship because we exited the night before "formal" disembarkation scheduled for the next morning.  

 

Had been to Rio several times previously.  No reason to stay there overnight.  So--many, many months' previously, made the necessary flight arrangements for that late-night departure from Rio, via Atlanta, back to Seattle. 

 

Coordinated via our TA with Regent early-on.  No problem.   

 

Confirmed this Plan once onboard with the Concierge.  Regent made arrangements for a taxi pick-up at the Dock for transfer to Airport.  Had a pleasant dinner.  Then, luggage in-hand and, assisted by Staff, were escorted off the ship to that waiting taxi.  Staff confirmed with the driver our destination--and cost.  No price gouging.  No surprises.  Reasonable cost.  

 

Straight to Airport--to Lounge--then flight(s).  Happy ending to a great cruise. 

 

It just takes prior planning--and coordination once onboard.
