mimbecky Posted March 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2022 Hi, we typically cruise with another line. Just booked for next year on Princess. Typically we choose assigned seating at a 6-8 person table top so we are able to enjoy dining each evening with other couples that we aren't traveling with. I understand that Princess doesn't have assigned dining time/tables in the MDR. Is it still possible to make reservations each evening with the choice to sit with other people we don't know? Not sure if this is atypical or quite common. Thanks,,, M
Sea Hag Posted March 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2022 Shared table is an option in the app when you're setting up dining reservations.
Moondogy Posted March 25, 2022 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2022 We eat early most of the time. Also haven't been on a cruise in a couple of years, but we just walk up and tell maitre d that we a party of 2 to share (table, not food 🤣) Though the app does allow this option also. Rare patrickmoran Posted March 25, 2022 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2022 The change now is that your tablemates would probably change every night.
Rare patrickmoran Posted March 25, 2022 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2022 The thing to keep in mind is that we are still dealing with the "COVID world'" Next year could bring a whole different approach. Does the virus fade for good? Do cruise lines return to past practices? My crystal ball is too hazy to tell.
